When he was 28, Francesco Miatto
set up his own business and opened
a workshop in Via Cappuccina in
Mestre, just a stone’s throw from Venice.
In the ’80s Miatto officially entered
the ranks of the Italian fashion world
alongside other prestigious names,
taking part in fashion shows in
Veneto villas, Abano Terme and
Cortina d’Ampezzo.
In ’82 he began participating in the
fashion shows organised by the
Venice Lido Casino (the international
“Visione Moda Costume” award).
In 1984 the Miatto brand took the
jet set at Cannes on the French
Riviera by storm.
